Our purpose in ministry is to tell others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, wherever we go and whatever may be going on in our lives. At New Hope, we offer many ministries for our members to serve and participate in to help them grow deeper and stronger in their walk with the Lord. No matter your age, ability, or background, there is a place for everyone to get serve Jesus Christ!
At New Hope, our worship style is very unique. Our music variety is considered blended, meaning we praise and worship the Lord using many different types of music formats. Our church is blessed to have dedicated instrumental and vocal talents alike, many of whom have grown up at NHBC. We have a Southern Gospel quartet that has served in ministry for over 20 years, as well as a family Bluegrass band and a full Praise & Worship band. There are also several soloists who share their talents with us from time to time. Most every Sunday, you will hear a mix of traditional hymns, as well as praise & worship compositions, both current and from yesterday. No matter your style of preference, one thing is for sure, we worship the Lord, and we encourage you to worship HIM with us!
The Men's Ministry's focus is to disciple the Men of New Hope Baptist Church and to help equip them to be the men that God has called them to be. They are encouraged to participate in outreach projects to those in the church and the community. In addition, they are encouraged to regularly gather together with brothers-in-Christ. On the first Tuesday of each month, an outreach project is completed. Following the project, Meet & 3, a men's luncheon is held at a local BBQ restaurant at 12 noon.
This ministry is for ages 55 and up. They hold monthly events in order to create bonds through friendship and fellowship. Their purpose is to encourage one another, love one another, and keep each other engaged. We want our seniors to feel loved, not lonely. Most of our events include a meal, devotion, and a game. We usually plan one three-or four-day long trip per year with the remaining events held at church, a day trip using the church bus, or meeting at a restaurant.
The Women's ministry is passionate about equipping and developing the ladies of our church to grow in their walk with the Lord and help others grow in theirs. There is an event on the first Tuesday of each month, Women's Front Porch Fellowship, where the ladies in our church gather for devotion, fellowship, and activities at Pastor Brett and Stacey Turner's home. At Christmas, they hold their annual ladies' gathering in which all ladies are invited to come for fellowship and fun, as well as exchange gifts! They also participate in periodic outreach projects in the church and community.
