In June of 2002, Scott became the Senior Pastor of CBC after serving six months as the interim pastor. He is a graduate of Fruitland Bible Institute and has earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Covington Theological Seminary.
Scott and Denise have been married since August 1992, and have two daughters Olivia and Leanna. Scott's vision is to see CBC become an effective disciple-making church that is relevant and practical to the needs of those in the community and beyond.
Brian is originally from Madison County in Western North Carolina. God called him into the ministry in 2000. He has a B.A. Degree in Communications and Public Relations from Mars Hill College (1996), an Associates in Religion and Church Ministries degree from Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute (2001) and a Master of Divinity Degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (2006).
He has been married to Shelley Moore Buckner for 13 years. They have three children, Isaac, Leah and Alex. God called them to New Hope in May 2006. They are excited about what God is doing and is going to do at New Hope in the coming days! Their prayer is that God would do something so big at our church that no man could take credit for!
Brian received Christ as his Savior at the age of eight at North Fork Baptist Church.
Caleb joined the New Hope staff as Student Pastor in March of 2007. He was called into ministry in 2005 while attending UNC Asheville. After answering God’s call on his life he transferred to Fruitland Baptist Bible College where he received an Associate’s degree in Pastoral Ministries. He received Christ as his savior at age eight in Vacation Bible School at Bethel Baptist Church in Mars Hill, NC. He is grateful and excited that God has called him to New Hope so that he may take part in serving with a body of believers that desire to be used for great things to further the Kingdom of Christ.
Pastor Ben was born and raised in Monroe North Carolina. While growing up, Pastor Ben and his family attended Antioch Baptist Church where at the age of 15, he responded to the drawing of the Holy Spirit and was saved. He made the decision to dedicate his life to the Lord's service and answered God's call to the ministry at age 18. Pastor Ben graduated from Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute in 1996 and then served as Pastor and Youth Pastor at several churches in the Charlotte metro area. God completed the ministry team in 1999 when he married his wife Jenifer. God then blessed the union with two precious children. Timothy is currently age 6 and Gracie is age 4. Pastor Ben has continued his formal studies of the scripture by completing his Bachelors Degree and will finish his Masters in Theology Degree in 2007.
Dr. Mac Brunson is the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. He holds degrees from Furman University and Southwestern Seminary. Dr. Brunson pastored in South Carolina, Virginia, North Carolina and Texas before going to Jacksonville, in 2006.
A well-known speaker and experienced minister, Mac was appointed president of the Southern Baptist Convention Pastor's Conference in 2003. He is heard on numerous radio and television stations around the world weekly.
Mac and his wife, Debbie, are the parents of three children – Courtney, is at Southern Seminary with her husband Barry (finishing PhD) with their new grandson, Broc; Trey, is the Director of Special Projects for FBC Jacksonville and Wills is a student at Liberty University.
